Would like to connect a 16x2 LCD display to the CBT over BT to display a few bits of a PID.

Have serial UART LCD and a HC-06 serial/bluetooth adapter which I managed to pair successfully with a phone, but how do I pair with the CBT so I can send data to it? The PIN of the HC-06 is set to 0000 but they never connect.

I'm totally new to bluetooth.

As best as I can tell the HC06 is not BT4 compatible.

And BT4 does not expose a serial port in the same manner previous versions of BT did.

BT4 is totally different than BT3 unfortunately.
