CANBus Triple not connecting to App

I just bought a CANBus Triple with the orange aluminum case. I have downloaded the CANBus Triple App, manually installed the drivers, and connected the Triple to my computer. I can see it on Com3 but it just sits and spins and never connects. Any insight on what this noob is missing?

Just to clarify, the CBT App can see the CBT listed under the hardware link, but fails to connect to it.
