I am writing a python script to send CAN bus messages using the serial library in python. The goal is to wake a device up by sending the ignition CAN bus messages. I know the messages to send but the problem I am having is the rate that I am sending the messages. How do you simulate a 500kbps bus by sending CAN bus messages with the serial commands? I tried the app Derek has made and it is working well but has no options "yet" to send packets in an orderly manner.
